Born on March 17, 1952 in Donetsk

1968 – graduated from Donetsk State Art School

1969 – entered the Crimean Samokish Art School

1975 – completed his studies at the Crimean Art Academy

1975-1981 – lived and worked in Yalta

1977 – first publication in the magazine “Ogonyok” (painting “Patrol”)

1978 – membership in the USSR Art Academy

1982 – moved with his family to Sumy

1986-1989 – Chairman of the Board of the Sumy Regional Organization of the Ukrainian Artists

1992 – Received the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine

1993-1997 – Worked in Paris

1997-2000 – Collaborated with gallery owners in the Netherlands

2012 – Received the title of People’s Artist of Ukraine

2017 – Died in the village of Klepaly, Burynskyi district, Sumy region, buried in Kharkiv at the Bezlyudiv cemetery

 

The paintings are kept in the Directorate of Exhibitions of the Ministry of Culture and the Union of Artists of Ukraine, the Lebedyn City Art Museum, the Sumy Regional Art Museum named after N. Onatsky.

 

Main works: "Patrol" (1977), "Native Land" (1978), "Waiting" (1980), "Still Life with a White Jug" (1981), "Beginning" (1984), "Lilac" (1986; 1990), "During the Break" (1987), "Still Life" (1990), "Autumn Still Life" (1992; 1995), "Irises in Black" (1993), "Morning on the Veranda" (1994), "Blue Umbrella" (1995), "Portrait of a Woman", "Walk" (both - 1998), "In the Meadow" (1999), "Twilight" (2001), "March", "Autumn Gazebo" (both - 2002), "Roses and Apples" (2003), “Spring” (2004), “In the Gazebo. Autumn” (2005), “Stones” (2006), “Morning Gazebo” (2007), “Chickens”, “Summer”, “May. In the Gazebo” (all – 2008).
