In May, 2007 gallery « Green sofa » approved at itself the project « Spring in Tsargrad », whether on which young artist Peter Smetana for the first time has exposed the works and at once near to venerable painters, instead of the student's company. What was result of such neighbourhood? Set of enthusiastic responses of visitors, critics and colleagues-artists, even commercial success. What is the reason to it?, as they say, « the God in back-head has kissed Easy Petro ». Following known authorities of the Ukrainian painting of Patyl, R.Selski, Smetana looks for the creative person and finds it not in what forced image, and it is easy, as it is easy, as it draws the meter size etudes in two hours. So it is easy, as lays down it expressive brush as creates the refined scale in a combination of bright colors as painting amazes his spectators fresh. Petro draws from life, impressionistic passes color, the image in his works prevails of picture, and emotions above calculation, it absorbs all wisdom of nature, painting sceneries and neturemorts live, and I think that we look on raising of new star.
